I’m feeling the transatlantic differences in the recent episodes. First with the revelation you have concrete in your washing machines. Now with this discrimination against berries for breakfast. When would you eat a nice strawberry granola parfait?

Greg, even in the USA washing machines have concrete counterweights if they are front loaders. That weight is required to keep them from dancing all over the laundry room. It is counter forces involved in the very strong spin cycles.

Chris, you’re correct and I am mistaken. I knew there was a weight, but I always assumed it was a water tank. The concrete thing threw me.

Still, strawberries are a breakfast staple at my house.

I still use the toploader that came with my house. It is at least 35 years old and it remains one of the few appliances I can fix without looking up a tutorial on YouTube.
